Saumarez Park Manor Residential Home

The residential care home had an existing conservatory which required regular repair and attention. It was time for a replacement. The conservatory was used by the residents as a day room and dining area and bridged over an original swimming pool which had been covered over and the base was hexagonal shaped. The proposed design replaced the original conservatory with a solid roof structure to match the main buildings. The solid roof has a vaulted ceiling to provide a feeling of spacious accommodation with good natural light whilst improving thermal comfort with higher levels of insulation. The project was tendered using traditional methods and local builder M&D Construction was appointed for the project.
